Honey Harvest Collage August 2023

On Saturday 19th August 2023 there was a honey harvest. Approximately 50 frames of honey were collected and processed. It was a project that started early in the morning with many hands and preparation that started last week when Bill and Dan (the “Bee Guys”) prepared the hives for the harvest.

Below you will see pictures and videos of the honey harvest. It was one of the biggest harvests at GreenFriends Farm. Fortunately, we had several volunteers helping our “Bee Guys” with the processing of frames, churning, filtering, and jarring this excellent honey. The taste will reflect where the bees gathered the nectar – from the flowers and fruit trees in the Orchard.
