Jam Making
On Saturday, October 30, 2021, the GreenFriends team, lead by Tapomayi (production manager), made 125 jars of jam of various sizes. Half of the jars were persimmon-orange jam and half were persimmon-apple-lemon jam. The prep started early in the morning at 6am and finally everything was wrapped up by 6pm. It was such a joy working together, cutting and preparing the fruit, deseeding the persimmons, stirring the pot, sanitizing the jars and filling them with the freshly cooked fruit, and then canning them for 20 mins on the stove..
