Saturday Seva

The Saturday Seva volunteer team has been bustling for the past two weeks. The team has been harvesting Persimmons and trimming. You will see Leah and Jordan in the persimmon trees below.
It is also a good time to address the citrus and apple trees in the orchard. There have been lovely scents in the air from the fruits. All age groups are welcome to help on Saturdays.

This Saturday, they worked on thinning the tangerine trees. We saw a lot of growth in just one week with rain! The cooler temperatures are turning the fruits bright orange. A few of the larger fruits were harvested…they are juicy! The tangerines taste great!
Metal stakes were added to the new apple trees to keep them safe during winter storms. And finally, the remaining pomegranates were harvested.
